About Blanca Rivera Foundation
The Foundation
Blanca Rivera Foundation is a non-profit organization incorporated and registered in Puerto Rico State Department founded in February 2024. The Foundation enjoys 501 (c) 3 federal tax exemption and its managed by its founder Blanca Rivera.
Our Founder
Blanca Rivera was a former Certified General Real Estate Appraiser, which decide to retire to serve the communities through the foundation and its church. Also, Blanca Rivera is member active of Buena Vista ICDC church and mother of Omar, Giovanna and Vianca. Blanca is married with Ivan Ortiz, which actually is our Chef and has assigned the Homeless Program, since it has been serving them for about 10 years. Our little granddaughter and foundation member, Genoa, enjoys being able to serve others, especially the seniors.
Our Mission
Our primary mission is to is impacting the social communities with focus on the elderly and homeless to improve their quality of life. Through the distribution of hot meals, essential groceries and companionship, we aim to alleviate food insecurity and foster a sense of community among those we serve.
Puerto Rico obtained the position number seven of elderly population in the world as per Organization of United Nations (ONU) report. The projection for the elderly people in Puerto Rico will increase for the year 2035 by 35% of its entire population.
Our long-term vision is to create a resilient support network that can respond efficiently during natural disaster, such as hurricanes, storms, and earthquakes, which regularly impact the island like Huracan Maria.
We seek not only address immediate hunger needs but also to build a sense of solidarity and belonging among vulnerable populations. Blanca Rivera Foundation strives to be more than just a food provider, we are committed to fostering community engagement, social aid, and improving the overall well-being of the people we serve.

Our Programs
We offer the following services for the communities in needs:
- Elderly - To provide aid in hot meals for elderly people, which in sometimes don’t have someone to assist them, companionship and entertainment, such as Bingo, coffee or chocolate evening with karaoke. Many of this population live alone without near family to share with them for its personal engagement or in case that their parents are outside of the island.
- This year we impacting elderly independent centers such as: Panorama Gold, Los Cantares Elderly, Ciudad Feliz Elderly, Palacio Dorado and the Christmas Party will be on Golden Age Elderly, We also impacting Valvarena 1 Nursing Home.
- Homeless - To collect, prepare and deliver hot meals to the homeless. This mission was impacted monthly thorough San Juan Metropolitan Area.
- Communities in Need - Special health needs since our weak health system, food, etc. (Coming Soon)
- Disaster Relief - Food distribution to the vulnerable communities (Coming Soon)
